Add a Finishing Touch

Lamination is a great way to protect the surface of a display print from inadvertent exposure to moisture and also from tears and wrinkles. Also, laminates typically include a UV coating for longer durability in sunlight. Laminates may be applied to the top surface and combined with mounting or can be applied top and bottom to encapsulate the print. Laminates are available in 3 mil, 5 mil and 10 mil thicknesses in gloss, luster or matte finishes. Specialty finishes are also available for special display applications. Your Colorworks representative can help you determine which laminate is best suited for your project.

Mounting to a rigid substrate adds durability to your finished print. In addition, mounting can add depth and interest to a display presentation. Colorworks can mount onto a variety of materials including Fome-Cor®, Gatorfoam®, Komatex® and Plexiglas®. Material thickness availability varies by material and ranges from 1/8 inch to 1 inch thick.

In addition to standard square finish cuts, we offer custom contour cutting to a die-line or edge. Multiple layers of mounting can create a 3 dimensional effect.
